ASCD®

Founded in 1943, ASCD (formerly the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) is the global leader in developing and delivering innovative programs, products, and services that empower educators to support the success of each learner. Comprising 140,000 members—superintendents, principals, teachers, professors, and advocates from more than 138 countries—the ASCD community also includes 56 affiliate organizations. The nonprofit's diverse, nonpartisan membership is its greatest strength, projecting a powerful, unified voice to decision makers around the world. The association provides expert and innovative solutions in professional learning, capacity building, and educational leadership essential to the way educators learn, teach, and lead.
The EduCore® website provides current, relevant, evidence-based instructional tools and professional learning resources for educators, schools, and school districts implementing the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in mathematics and literacy. Within this 21st-century toolkit, you will find a collection of evidence-based tools, strategies, videos, and supporting documents that will make your transition to the CCSS smoother and more beneficial to students.
Registering on EduCore allows you to take full advantage of the resources available. As a registered user, you are able to save your searches, organize the tools, add notes, and leave comments. EduCore is updated frequently, so check the site often!

ASCD Supports Implementation of LDC CoreTools

EduCore features Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) modules that promote reading and writing in the content areas. Professional learning resources that guide educators in their implementation accompany these challenging 21st-century modules. The site also contains webinars and resources that help teachers understand and create LDC modules.
In addition, ASCD combines its extensive experience with professional learning, CCSS implementation, and the LDC process to design personalized learning for schools and/or districts. For example, ASCD is now offering a series of webinars in CCSS implementation that allow participants to engage with LDC and additional resources.
